The Team

His wife Jackie deals with the financial side of the business, speaking to clients and making sure everything runs smoothly. Being married to Martin for 30 years and having three children, Martin would be lost without the love and support of his family.

His daughter Sammy has always had a passion for horses from a young age, She's been lucky enough to have her talented father teaching her the ropes whilst growing up. Travelled across the world gaining valuable experience handling young stock, working at top thoroughbred studs mainly across Australia and New Zealand also working for consigners at the sales. After finding the love for the breeding side, returning home she worked for Tweenhills stud and carried on working sales in Ireland, France and the UK before returning to work full time alongside her father in 2019. Having had the privilege to be offered some lovely retired racehorses, she now owns a few which have all loved their retired life of team chasing, hunting and low key eventing.

His head girl Megan Harper has been with us for 15 years. After having a passion for horses since a young age and having non horsey parents she begged and borrowed ponies until she could afford to buy her first horse at 16. Working for Olympic Gold medalist Leslie Law after finishing A Levels she then continued her education to get a degree at Hartpury College. She joined Martins in her last year as a part time job and is still here!! Meg has her own horses which have all found her through the job, with eventing being her favourite discipline - competing at the lower levels to then aim to progress up takes hard work and dedication but to give the horses a second career and seeing end results is what makes it so special. Meg enjoys helping other riders and owners on how to get the best out of their horse. Having someone that knows the business inside and out is a great help for Martin and other members of the team!

Claire rides many of the pre - trainers as loves doing the canter work and seeing the horses progress before going into training. She is a key member of the ground staff and keeps the yard running smoothly. After finishing school, Claire worked in a small riding school whilst also doing a Horse management course and soon after moved back home to be more local. Carrying on her love for the horses after having her son Cameron, she worked part time which turned into full time in a point to point yard before moving to Gloucestershire and started working for Martin. Claires been a massive help over the past few years and were lucky to have such a keen and reliable person to be apart of the team!
